FORT MYERS, FL. – February 23, 2015 – The Gulf Coast Humane Society (GCHS) will be celebrating with an early start to St. Patrick’s Day. All dogs and their owners are invited to wear green to the Cape Coral Yappy Hour St. Patty’s Day Pawty. Cape Harbour will host the event on Feb. 28 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Fathoms Restaurant and Bar, with The French Press Café will be providing beer and wine for the event, along with a DJ for entertainment. Proceeds from beverage sales during the evening will benefit GCHS. Cape Harbour’s Fetch Dog Boutique & Bakery will also be joining in on the Yappy Hour fun by donating a percentage of their sales for the event to GCHS. Adoptable dogs will also be at the event to meet potential new families. T-shirts and Blinky Rings will also be available for sale.
Gulf Coast Humane Society, located at 2010 Arcadia Street in Fort Myers, was established as the first non-profit animal welfare organization in southwest Florida in 1947. The 501(c)(3) mission is to rescue, provide safe refuge and compassionate care, and find forever homes for abandoned and neglected animals in the area. GCHS only takes in owner surrendered and transfers from other shelters and rescue groups with a high success rate of adoptions.
